Firework Safety

Year 5 and 6 have been learning about firework safety.

They transferred these skills to lab safety and visited the science labs on the High School site to explore the colours made by different metals. There was much excitement and attention as pupils learned how to use a bunsen burner. In small groups they worked independently to test a range of metals as they responded to heat. This photo captures the joy of learning. The importance of safety underpinning the key learning of the session. We thank Mrs Morris and Mr Thomas from the High School for arranging this project with us.
