On Saturday 18th January the eco-committee joined many community groups from Llanidloes to promote ‘zero carbon’ , energy solutions for our town.
The pupils spoke to members of the public, about the dangers of pollution when car engines are left idling. They asked visitors to pledge towards making an effort for walking and avoiding driving when possible.
The eco-committee were able to show a study of lichen from two sites at the school, one by the car park showed pollution and the other in the playground showing clean air. The pupils will be displaying their posters to encourage parents to make positive change where possible.
