As part of RE work year 3 pupils have been interested in a project about special buildings this term. Their questions lead them to explore festivals of light.
They interviewed Reverend Alison in St. Idloes Church and then asked our visitor, Chetna, about her Hindu faith. Pupils learned about the layout of churches and chapels and the use of the special furniture found in church buildings. They enjoyed learning about the story of Divali, and cooking prasad with Chetna.
