Children and staff from ‘Crocodocodiles’ visited us to see our dress rehearsal for our class assembly. A lovely time was had by all!
Planting the Willow Cylch with willow artist Caroline Lowe, constructing a bug hotel to create a microhabitat for minibeasts, digging garden beds, sweeping Autumn leaves, making mud-monsters and creating Andy Goldsworthy inspired relief sculptures.
In January we celebrated an old Welsh tradition ‘ Y fari Lwyd’. Groups of children would visit neighbouring houses, singing and bearing good wishes for the year ahead. In school we created our own ‘Fari Lwyd’ and our own ‘perllan’ to give to the children. We sang the traditional song Blwyddyn Newydd dda i chi.
Our topic theme is Castles. In other subjects, we are looking at; Spreadsheets in IT, Art focussing on the Urdd topics. English preparing to enter the bookslam competition along with the 500 words Radio 2 competition.
